The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode!

Meet the Characters

Hello, all!  I'm Blair Warner (but, you probably already knew that, didn't you?), the proud daughter of my (divorced) parents, David Warner (of Warner Industries) and Monica Warner (Eastland alumnus). I also have a sister (Meg) who is a nun and looks a lot like Jan Brady. And, I might as well tell you that I have a cousin (Geri) who is a comedianne with cerebral palsy.  I started attending Eastland at the age of 12, and now a senior, I live above the kitchen of the Eastland cafeteria with Natalie, Tootie and Jo. I work for Mrs. Garrett due to some disciplinary issues of which I am completely blameless and prefer not to discuss. In addition to my numerous awards and recognitions, I have been named Harvest Queen three years in a row. It's amazing what I'm able to accomplish with my active dating life (even if I didn't go on that ski trip with Chad).  Once I am graduated, I plan to attend Langley College in the fall and rush Gamma Gamma (hey, Boots!).

I am a widow turned house mother turned dietician. I serve as "mother hen" for four boarding house resident girls: Blair, Jo, Tootie, and Natalie . I am lovingly known as Mrs. G to the girls. I often play the peacemaker as I amI always trying to resolve problems that arise with "the girls". I secretly wish that Tootie would grow up, Natalie would stop eating and I think that Blair and Jo should just do it and get it over with!

Following some wrong turns back home in the Bronx, I was sent to live in Peekskill and attend the Eastland Academy for Girls.  A far cry from life in the Young Diablos, my former gang, I have finally adjusted to life upstate.  It's a little tough being the outsider, the only girl on scholarship, but I have found opportunities at Eastland that I would never have had back home. I mean, who would have ever pictured me at a country club cotillion with Harrison Andrews  or traveling to exotic places like Australia and Paris?  Sure, there have been a few minor slip-ups - from fake IDs to shoplifting - but hey, you can take the girl out of the Bronx, but you can never take the Bronx out of the girl.  When I am not leading anti-censorship protests, busting cokehead professors, or paint fighting, I enjoy working on motorcycles with that sweet aroma of WD-40.  After graduation from Eastland, I hope to move as far away from Blair as possible, maybe LA, where I hope to pursue my lifelong dream of being a teacher, or maybe a social worker, or even a lady cop.

I am the girl who loves a good laugh with a side order of chocolate chip cookies. When I don't have my hands full, or her mouth for that matter, I do kitchen work for Mrs. G. I also am working as the Editor of the Eastland School Newspaper. My favorite food is Jelly Beans and occasionally I will share. I have a flare for comic timing and practically worships the three stooges and the Marx brothers. A lot of people don't know that I am actually adopted. I can also be quite a bookworm, whether it's a school book, a cook book, or my precious diary. I is very close with my friends, but most of all Tootie, as we are close in age. Though I am pleasingly plump, there's no stopping my optimistic self image and I was once quoted saying, "Pack up Brooke Shields, you're through."

Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey – I’m the youngest of all of the girls I’ve come to know and love here at Eastland. I love to roller skate and I’m constantly on the move. My hobbies include gossiping and eavesdropping and I have every intention of being the next Mrs. Billy Dee Williams. I may be the youngest but I’m no baby, I always keep a cool head under pressure (It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it). I adore the Jackson 5 and I don’t know where I’d be without the girls and Mrs. Garrett. After Eastland I hope to continue living it up with my friends, perhaps I’ll move to the city and live with three sassy, black pals in the near future. Who knows? Oh, and I’d like to give a shout out to my best friend, Natalie. I don’t care how many moon pies you eat, you’ll always be my homegirl!
