Beth Albright Beth Albright is thrilled to be performing in Broadway Our Way again after a wonderful time in the 2008 production! Other favorite roles include The Pig in If You Give a Pig a Party and Turtle, etc. in A Year with Frog & Toad (DCT); Sarah in Guys and Dolls (Eisemann Center); Rebecca in RAGS (JCC); Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly and Grace Poole in Jane Eyre (Lyric Stage); Flo in Edwin Drood and Lucinda in Into the Woods (WaterTower); A . . . Andi Allen (Director/Writer/Diva) returns again to helm BOW after her appearance last year as Glinda the Good. Her Uptown directing credits include "Legends!," "The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode," "Die, Mommie, Die!," "Sordid Lives," and "Ruthless!," (DFW Critics Forum Award for Direction). She lists her favorite roles onstage as Amnesia in "Nunsense" (ICT MainStage), Drood in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (Theatre Three), Bettina in "Psycho Beach Party" (Pegasus Theatre) and most recently, Liliane La Fleur in "NINE" (ICT MainStage). Ms. Allen is a past recipient of the Rabin Award for her performance in "The Gifts of the Magi," in addition to multiple Column Awards as actress, director, choreographer and sound designer. |

Kayla Carlyle Kayla Carlyle made her debut earlier this year as Ivy in bare: a pop opera. Her past theatre credits include: Isabel in Scrooge: the musical (LifeStage Theatre); Narrator in Joseph...Dreamcoat (Music Theatre of Denton); Jack & Jill (Second Thought Theatre); Belle in Beauty and the Beast (DCT & MTD); Serena in Fame! (RNS); Cobweb/Dreamette in A Midsummer Night's Dream: the musical (Shakespeare Dallas); Cecile in Dangerous Liaisons (Richardson Theatre Centre); Snookie in 110 in the Shade (Lyric Stage); Becky in Tom Sawyer (ICT Mainstage); and Godspell & Rocky Horror with KD Studios Black Box Operations. Coy Covington Coy Covington is delighted to return to Uptown Players in Broadway Our Way, having appeared in the 2004 - 2008 editions. He was involved with Uptown’s 2008 season hits Zanna, Don’t! (which he directed) and Legends! (in which he co- starred as Leatrice Monsée). Other turns on the Uptown boards include leading roles in Die, Mommie Die, Red Scare on Sunset and Ruthless!, as well as performances in Valhalla, A Man of No Importance and Southern Baptist Sissies. He is frequently the wig/make-up designer and hairstylist for Uptown and most recently worked on bare, Bent and Facts of Life. Coy will be playing Joan Crawford in the upcoming camp comedy Mommie Queerest. |

Melissa Farmer Previous Show Melissa is thrilled to be making her Uptown Players, Broadway Our Way debut as a part of this fantastic cast! A Dallas native, she is about to enter her senior year at The Boston Conservatory of Music where she will receive a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. Other recent roles around the Dallas area include Magenta in The Collin Theatre Center's highly acclaimed production of The Rocky Horror (Puppet) Show, Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly! at Garland Summer Musicals, and Little Red Ridinghood in Into the Woods at Watertower Theatre for which she won a 2006 Column Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Equity) |

John Garcia Previous Show John Garcia is an AEA Candidate and returns to Uptown after last years Broadway Our Way and Pageant (Miss Deep South) in 2006. And yes, before you ask, “I have lost a lot of weight…and still single damn it!” LOL. John has over 350 productions under his belt as an actor in both equity & non-equity arenas. He is the editor/Founder of THE COLUMN-a daily entertainment column that has over 11,000 subscribers worldwide. John is also the Founder/Director/Exec Producer of THE COLUMN Awards, which honors excellence in Theater within the DFW metroplex. He has shared this Awards gala stage with such glittery stars as Michael Urie (UGLY BETTY); Christian Campbell (TRICK), Anthony Rapp & Tony winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia (original Broadway stars of Rent); and others. The 10th COLUMN Awards Gala will be March 23, 2009! THE COLUMN Awards is the ONLY awards organization in the United States that is a major fundraiser for BC/EFA. Previous Show Steven Guez returns to Uptown for his first Broadway Our Way, having played Mike in last season’s production of Zanna Don’t. He is a Miami native whose credits include, Romeo & Juliet (Romeo), Taming of the Shrew (Lucentio), Stuff Happens (Iraqi Exile), Boxer and the Blond (Johnny Jihad). He was an ESU National Shakepeare Finalist in '06 and recipient of the FTC Best Actor Award in '06 for his portrayal of David in The Chrysalids. Previous Show Natalie King is excited to be returning for another Broadway Our Way, having appeared in Legends (Aretha) and bare (Sister Chantelle) this past season. She also performed in Uptown Player’s Valley of the Dolls, The Life, several editions of Broadway Our Way, and A New Brain for which she was nominated for a Rabin Award. Natalie was also seen in The Goodbye Girl at Theatre Three and has performed in many regional shows including, Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, A My Name Is Alice, Blues Ballads Broadway & Blessings,Divas Of Dallas, The World Goes Round (Web Critics Award--Best Supporting Actress), Abbyssinia, Rise And Shine, Rockin' Christmas, Godspell, A Grand Night For Singing (Critics Choice Award--Best Ensemble), Once On This Island and Hair. Natalie also performed as Quintara the Storyteller at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. |

Other roles includeEd Peterson in Fiorello! and Guggenheim in Titanic both at Lyric Stage, Ike in First Lady Suite at Theatre Three, Sir Sagramore in Camelot at PRT, as Hubert in Nunsense, A-Men at Richardson Theater Center and as a back-up singer for Patsy in Watertower Theater’s production of A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline. Linda Leonard Previous Show Linda Leonard is thrilled to be a part of BOW again this year and work with such a talented cast and crew. She recently finished Beautiful Star for WaterTower Theatre playing many wives (Noah's, Abraham's Mac's and Roy's) with her husband Bill Jenkins. Linda just finished a 4 month run as the Iowa Housewife in Menopause The Musical for GFOUR Productions. Uptown credits include direction of the inaugural production of When Pigs Fly, her portrayal of Aurora/Spiderwoman in Kiss of The Spiderwoman (winner Best Actress in a Musical Leon Rabin Award), and most recently choreography of Facts of Life. Linda is honored to have been in almost every BOW to date. She can be seen currently in the movies "W" with James Brolin, "Cleaner" with Samuel L. Jackson and will be seen soon with Matthew Broderick in "Wonderful World". She is teacher in both the career acting program and the musical theatre program at KD Actors Conservatory and she has been a member of Actors Equity for over 30 years. Linda is represented by The Horne Agency. She will be directing Oliver starring several members of the BOW cast and she is dedicated to the process of creativity, Bill, Roxie, Lola and Cosmo. Previous Show Tony Martin is making his fourth attempt at BOW, and has spent the past few months preparing both mentally and physically for the event. Thanks to the fine doctors at the Fat Injection Institute, Tony was able to add 20 pounds of donated human fat to his face and body without the need for adding the calories through food or lack of exercise. "This was a real time saver for me, as I really wanted to focus on preparing for BOW and spend less time actually eating". Tony also worked extensively with world-renowned flatulence specialist Alecks Stepharphresomson to study the precise techniques used in the famous "Ppppffffttt Symphony, Movement #6 in G Minor", which to date only 14 artists have performed successfully, including Celine Dion and the late Dinah Shore. -- Tony would like to thank you for supporting Uptown Players. Sara Shelby-Martin Previous Show Sara Shelby-Martin happily returns to Uptown for her fifth year as a “Designated Diva.” Sara is an Uptown veteran, having appeared in numerous productions: The Last Session: (Vicky); The Wild Party (Madelaine True); The Who’s TOMMY (Acid Queen), and most recently, as Claire Simonds in Uptown’s regional premiere of bare. She is regularly seen on stages throughout the Metroplex, most recently having as Sarraghinain ICT Mainstage’s Nine. Other recent credits include: The Great American Trailer Park Musical; Urinetown: The Musical (Leon Rabin Nomination); Rockin’ Christmas Party; and The Spitfire Grill (Column Award) at WaterTower Theatre; The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; and A….My Name is Alice at Contemporary Theatre of Dallas; Bat Boy: The Musical at Quad C Theatre; (Column Award Winner); Songs for a New World and City of Angels at FMPAT; and The Most Happy Fella (Lyric Stage, Leon Rabin Award). He was last seen here at Uptown Players in bare as Matt, and rececently starred in Garland Civic Theatre's production of Footloose as Ren McCormick. Local Credits include: Theatre Britain, DCT, T3, GCT, ACT, TA, ICT, FMT, DSM, etc. His New York credits include: Duplex Theatre, Malverone Players, Lincoln Kennedy Center. His dance credits include the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Steps On Broadway. Previous Show Rick Starkweather is honored to be apart of BOW and to share the stage with so many friends! Rick was last seen as Tony Polar in Valley Of The Dollsat Uptown. This past year audiences saw him in the leading role as Tony in The Boyfriend at Theatre Arlington; Donny Dulce (the wedding singer) in the national tour of Tony & Tina's Wedding sponsored by the Dallas Summer Musicals and They're Playing Our Song at Lyric Stage. Other credits include the world tours of Barney's Colorful World and Barney LIVE: The Let's Go Tour! Previous Show Amy Stevenson is elated to be back with Broadway Our Way in 2009! She has done numerous shows in the DFW area which include Ruthless at Uptown Players. Amy is an elementary music and art teacher and enjoys her students immensely. For the last two years her favorite role has been the role of "Mama" every Monday night on Mama's Party at Bill's Hideaway. |

Allison Tolman Previous Show Allison Tolman returns to the Uptown stage having been seen last in Valley of the Dolls. She received her BFA in May of 2004 from Baylor University where she was a member of the Guerilla Comedy Troupe in addition to various Baylor main stage credits. In 2004, she made her professional debut as Casey in Second Thought Theatre's production of Anton in Show Business and toured the west coast with an American Family Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol. She was named one of 2004’s best actresses by the Dallas Theatre Critic's Forum. She plays Tink on Sordid Lives the series on LOGO and recently joined the cast of “Queertown”, a gay and lesbian themed Dallas comedy show. Allison can be seen Saturday nights at the West End Comedy Theater performing with the Second Thought Dramatics, a new improv and sketch comedy troupe. Allison recently assumed the role of Second Thought Theatre's new development coordinator |
