Max Swarner - Alan Strang Max is humbled to be a part of this production, and thrilled to be back at the Kalita, after playing his first leading role here 10 years ago. A Dallas native and local actor for the last 13 years, favorite roles include the title role in Sweeney Todd: School Edition (regional premiere), Dickon in The Secret Garden (Leon Rabin/Column Award noms.), Man 2 in Songs for a New World, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, and Willy in The Gifts of the Magi, to name a few. He was also a swing in Uptown's hit production of Altar Boyz, and was in the chorus of Dallas Summer Musicals' Casper: The Musical with Chita Rivera in 2001. He was the recipient of John Garcia's Ben Brettell Award for his theatrical achievements in the 2008 Dallas theater season. Rick Espaillat - Martin Dysart Rick Espaillat (Dysart) returns to Uptown Players after previously appearing in The History Boys, Southern Baptist Sissies and The Life. He has acted onstage at Theatre Three, Theatre Too, Contemporary Theatre, and many others. He can currently be seen in HBO Film's Temple Grandin, and has appeared in commercials for A T & T, Hasbro and others. He is represented by the Kim Dawson Agency. My deep gratitude goes to Craig and Jeff for their courage, to Bruce for his vision, and most of all to Gary "the one person". |

Carolyn Wickwire - Hesther Salomon
Carolyn Wickwire (Hesther) is delighted to appear with Uptown Players for the first time. She appeared recently in The Royal Family (Theatre Three), A Skull in Connemara (Second Thought Theatre), Sonnets for an Old Century (FireStarter Productions), and Pride and Prejudice (Dallas Theater Center). Some other favorite plays include The Women (Contemporary Theatre of Dallas; DFW Critics Forum Award/Best Ensemble Cast), Kindertransport (Echo Theatre), and Beauty Queen of Leenane (Quad C Theatre; Column Award/Best Supporting Actress). Carolyn also works in film/television (including Prison Break), and is represented by the Kim Dawson Agency. Thanks to Dennis West for his unfailing support and love.

Dan Morrow (Frank Strang) Dan Morrow (Frank Strang) marks his 20th year of collaboration with director Bruce Coleman (and Dan's first one with Uptown Players). Starting with the Babes in Outer Space movie spoofs as Captain Steve Banner at PST, other favorite roles with Bruce include Ernst Ludwig (Cabaret at PRT), Nigel Grouse (Another Murder/ Another Show at ICT), The Brewmaster (Apartment Plays at New Theatre), and Don Donnie (Tearjerker at PST). Recently retired from public school teaching after 29 years, Dan spends his time working with his wife Mary Ann at Morrow's Performing Arts Center in Plano, mostly as her janitor. Besides family, Dan's loves include the Beatles, the New Orleans Saints, and Texas Hold 'em poker. |

Daylon Walton (Nugget) is thrilled to be making his Uptown Players debut at the Kalita Humphreys Theatre in the role of Nugget. Some of his recent roles have included Bernard in Don't Dress for Dinner, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Jigger Craig in Carousel, and Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. When he's not on stage, he's a successful Dallas-based photographer specializing in headshot and marine underwater photography. SCOTT HIGGINS (Horse) Selected credits include Onstage in Bedford: Brighton Beach Memoirs (Stanley Jerome), Fort Worth Opera: Dead Man Walking (Murdered Teen), and ICT Mainstage: Noises Off (Tim Allgood). Scott has also entertained thousands of guests in various shows and parades at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida where he was best friends with a dog, a tigger, a bear, and a genie, and is pleased to add horse to his animal repertoire. Chris Edwards (Horse) Chris Edwards (Horse) is happy to be returning to Uptown players, having last appeared in The Valley of The Dolls in 2007. Chris is a graduate of the Texas Tech University with a BA in theatre Arts. Past roles in the metroplex include Danny in Grease at Repertory Company Theatre, Jethro in The Beverly Hillbillies at Garland Civic Theatre, Keno in The Full Monty, and Hannah in La Cage aux Folles both at Onstage in Bedford. In 2008, Chris was honored with a Column Award for La Cage aux Folles and an Ony award for The Full Monty. Many true thanks go out to family and friends for their support and encouragement, it means more than they know. |

William Lanier - Horse William Lanier is happy to join the cast of equus as his first show with uptown players..about damn time. Past shows include Salome, La Rondine (Dallas opera), the full Monty (theatre3), Dracula (ict), rocky horror (Collin theatre center), grease, man of la mancha (fmpat). Tv/film credits include oliver stone's "W.", The Deep End (Fox), multiple national commercials and music videos. Thanks to Bruce for including me on this adventure. LisaAnne Haram (Nurse) is pleased to be returning to Uptown Players, especially in this historic venue. LisaAnne has performed at WaterTower, Theatre 3, Theatre Too, ICT MainStage, Pocket Sandwich, Theatre Britain, Lyric, Pegasus, LifeSong, and in NYC. She was Iowa Housewife in the first National tour of Menopause the Musical. LisaAnne has produced and directed shows at OOL, ICT MainStage and several back home in Indiana. Some of her favorite roles include: Miss Strict in Zombie Prom, Aunt Eller in Oklahoma, Queen Aggravain in Once Upon A Mattress, Fran in House and Garden, and Helena LaMancha in Look What’s Happened to Pixie DeCosta. She retired from corporate life in 2003 and now works (whenever she wants) as the Education Coordinator at S.T.A.G.E. and as a Tax Assistant for a CPA.
